Dr. Stefan Hain studied Physics at the University of Bayreuth. His main focus was quantum mechanics and semiconductor physics​

After his graduation in 2011, he started working on his PhD thesis in the field of “modern power semiconductor devices” at the University of Bayreuth, which was finalized in 2018​

In 2018, Dr. Stefan Hain join ZF Group, starting as a technical lead and team lead for power module and semiconductor development.​

From 2022-Feb 2025 he was heading the department for power semiconductor development at ZF Group.

In March 2025, Stefan Hain joined onsemi as a Senior Director, heading and building up the new division of Power Electronic Systems.
